Designing Systems

Your major project for Unit 3 and 4 Systems Engineering is designing and developing a system.

You will be required to undertake a lot of research and planning for your system, including:

• Analysing existing solutions
• Understanding the environmental, social, and economic impacts of your system
• Thinking about how users will access and utelise your system
• Understanding and designing for the factors that influence your design
• Considering the maintainability of your system
• Designing tests to determine the success of your system
• Evaluating your designs and the processes you undertake in designing your system.
