Evaluating Designs
Evaluating Designs
This is bigger than a checkpoint [[evaluation]], but smaller than the final evaluation. Here, you should reflect on your overall design process.
Your evaluation here should explore:
- Your analysis of existing designs and systems
- Your research into users
- Your critical, creative, and speculative thinking
- Your exploration of ethics, particularly environmental, economic, and social
- Your analysis and consideration of accessible and intuitive design
- Your analysis of factors influencing your design
- The parameters and outcomes of the tests you have designed
- The analysis of designing for maintenance
- The overall effectiveness of your system to solve your design problem.
- Critical analysis of early sketches and plans
- Results and analysis of any material or component testing
- Your design brief
You should include all parts of the evaluation cycle, expecially exploring your understanding of your own designs.
